Apple sauce makes it moist and delicious; a mix makes it quick.
1 package (14.5
oz) gingerbread mix
1½ cups Tree Top Apple Sauce
Combine gingerbread mix and apple
sauce until well blended. Pour into microwave-safe 8 inch square pan.
Microwave at HIGH (100%) 6 to 7 minutes, turning 1/2 turn after three
minutes. It is done when top looks dry and will spring back when lightly
touched. Cool; cut into squares. Conventional Method: Combine
gingerbread mix and apple sauce in 9 inch square ungreased baking pan.
Stir vigorously with fork about 2 minutes until uniform in color and
consistency; spread evenly in pan. Bake at 350 F for 30 to 35 minutes or
until toothpick comes out clean.
Serve with whipped cream.
